Frequently Asked Questions

Can VayuJal Max serve municipal, disaster-relief or large-industry needs?

VayuJal Max is the highest-capacity machine in the range. It is rated at 2,950 litres a day at 80% humidity and 30 °C (2,650 litres at 70%), and can make up to 3,500 litres a day when ambient humidity is higher. It makes drinking water without a borewell, tanker or pipeline, which suits remote, disaster-hit or water-stressed locations as well as hotels, hospitals and large industry.

What annual volume can be reported for a government or ESG programme?

At its rated 2,950 litres a day, one unit can make about 1.08 million litres a year (2,950 × 365). Output varies with humidity and temperature, so use measured figures in programme reports.

What are the energy needs and running cost?

VayuJal Max uses about 0.23 kWh per litre at 80% humidity and 0.25 kWh per litre at 70% humidity, the lowest in the range. At 2,950 litres a day that is about 680 kWh a day, or roughly ₹1.4 of electricity per litre at an example ₹6 per unit. Its rated power is 30 kW.

What electrical supply does it need?

It needs a 380 V, 3-phase, 50 Hz supply at 30 kW. Plan the feeder and sanctioned load with your electrical team, or a generator or solar supply where the grid is weak.

What civil and site planning should we do?

The unit measures 235 × 270 × 215 cm and weighs 1,800 kg, with a sound level below 75 dB. It uses an external storage tank of 1,000 to 2,000 litres. Plan a reinforced, level base, crane or lifting access and a ventilated location.

What purification does the water go through?

Air is filtered through a 10-micron HDPE fabric supported by aluminium mesh. The water then passes through 6-stage filtration with an ozonizer, UV and a UF membrane.
